Our Story

1895

Local farmers start Hudsonville Creamery as a co-operative.

1926

Hudsonville Creamery starts making six flavors of ice cream- Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Butter Pecan, Orange Pineapple, and Tootie Fruitie.

1930

Dick Hoezee starts working at Hudsonville Creamery.

1946

Dick Hoezee buys controlling interest in the co-op.

1948

Hudsonville Creamery moves to Burnips, Michigan.

1972

Dick Hoezee sells the business to his four sons: Dell, Jack, Rich & Phil.  During this time, Hudsonville Ice Cream becomes a West Michigan favorite expanding its availability.

2003

Local West Michigan family buys Hudsonville Creamery & Ice Cream.

2004

Manufacturing and offices are re-located to Holland, Michigan.

2008

Hudsonville expands to Eastern Michigan becoming available in metro Detroit grocery stores and ice cream parlors.
